If you’re hoping to learn a fun new skill in the new year, this hands-on cake workshop is the perfect place to begin.

This January, we’re bringing a vibrant Summer-inspired experience to the Miller and Baker kitchen, located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people. Miller and Baker is a one-of-a-kind bakery known for milling its own flour on site, using grain grown through sustainable and regenerative farming methods. It’s a rare opportunity to bake with flour at its freshest and you will have the opportunity to try this amazing bread when you arrive + your cake will be baked with the federation flour. 

Kate Batter will bake and crumb coat the cake for you leaving the fun part of decorating up to you. You'll ice your cake however you like and add seasonal fruit and flower decorations. This workshop will teach you how to coat the final layer of your cake, buttercream tips and tricks, how to wrap floral stems, colouring your icing and different piping techniques. 

This workshop is designed for beginners looking to have a fun afternoon with the community. At the end of this workshop, you get to take your cake(feeds 8-10) away in a box to celebrate or eat at home with family (or yourself hehe).
